We made Okonomiyaki today, it’s pan-fried batter cake and various ingredients. You can put anything you want in it, ranging from chicken meat to yakisoba noodles. We topped ours with thin slice pork.

What can I say, I’m a sucker for dessert! We had our lunch at Campania Pizza in Southlake and decided to go for a dessert pie. Simple pie topped with Nutella and bombarded with powder sugar - It’s $10/pie.

Meatballs with Hambagu Sauce

Today’s dinner was one of the best we’ve eaten. Satsuki made some meatballs using ground pork that has been mixed with ground beef. As for the sauce, she uses Japanese Hambagu sauce (and red wine) rather than the usual marinara sauce. She paired the meatballs with white rice and pasta salad.

When they say “don’t judge a book by its cover”, they were right. I was very picky when it comes to food appearance, and I bet many of you does that too. However after eating so many different type of food, I come to accept that the appeal of food is in its taste, not its look. So introducing, the Pork Belly Stew! It might not look very appealing but it sure taste great.
