I love Mexican food, so it should come as no surprise that I’m always on the hunt for great new recipes. One thing that I love in particular is tacos. Hard shelled, soft, on a tostada shell, you name it. I love tacos. But to make a good taco, you first need good quality ground beef (preferably lean) and second a good seasoning mix.

I like my tacos spicy, so adjust the recipe as you see fit:

  • 1 – tbsp. chili powder
  • 1/4 – tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 – tsp. onion powder
  • 1/4 – tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 1/4 – tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 – tsp paprika
  • 1 1/2 – tsp ground cumin
  • 1 – tsp. salt
  • 1 – tsp. black pepper

Mix the seasonings in a bowl. Thoroughly combine with 1/2 lb. of ground beef. As with everything, season to taste. If you don’t like your taco meat bright red, don’t mix in all of the seasonings!
