Mayonpon Chicken

Mayopon chicken is a Japanese dish that are almost similar with our Chicken nuggets here in the states. It uses ponzu-mayo sauce. In case you are wondering what ponzu is, here is a snip from wikipedia - “a citrus-based sauce commonly used in Japanese cuisine. It is very tart in flavor, with a thin, watery consistency and a light yellow color.”. I do prefer Chicken Karaage over this.

There are many ways to prepare egg plant, especially when it comes to Chinese dishes (or Japanese). Most of them tasted sweet or salty. As much as I like those two flavour, I venture out to try something different. I steamed several egg plant and prepared the sauce seperately; keeping the egg plant natural flavour intact. The sauce consists of sesame oil, soy sauce, lime, sesame seeds, mince garlic, sugar, green onion, and mince ginger.

Pizza with Greens

I try to eat right when I can, but most of the times I just don’t. We often made our own Pizza rather than getting one from pizzeria. So recently we made Italian sausage pizza before NBA playoffs game between Spurs and Hornets started (I have to have my pizza on games like this). My wife tossed some butter lettuce and grape tomato with a little salt, pepper, and extra virgin olive oil and top it on my pizza! I wasn’t very thrill about it, but went ahead and give it a try anyway, to my surprise; I found it very tasty and blend well with my pizza. So the moral of the story is that putting greens on your food can be tasty and this coming from a guy who never wants green on his meal!
