Sweet Potato Fries With a Kick

I’m a French fry junkie. I’ll admit it. But there’s one thing I love more than your standard fry. The sweet potato fry!

This recipe is super simple and requires minimal prep. You will need:

  • 2 large sweet potatoes
  • 1/2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp-1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 pepper
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper

First off, you will need to peel the sweet potatoes then cut them into 1/2 inch strips. You can do this by halving the potatoes, placing them cut-side down, then cutting them into strips.

Next, place the strips into a bowl. Coat with the olive oil and sprinkle the salt, pepper, paprika and cayenne on the fries. Be sure to toss them well to coat evenly. Feel free to adjust the seasonings to your tastes. This is just how I like them.

Space them evenly on a baking sheet–well coated with cooking spray–and cook for about 30 minutes on 425*. The result will be slightly crispy on the outside, super soft on the inside, sweet yet spicy fries you will have dreams about because they’re so good.
